1-Year Anniversary Extravaganza!
A look at the past year and where to go from here
I cannot believe I’ve been writing this thing for one whole year! It feels like I just started yesterday. This has been such a fun passion project, and I can’t believe the community of readers and writers who have rallied to support me. I’m so grateful for each and every one of you for reading and allowing me space in your crowded inbox.
For the 1-year spectacular, I have some cool statistics to share and then some questions to ask you, and stay tuned to the bottom of the newsletter for a special giveaway!
By the Numbers
Including guest recommendations, we’ve recommended 49 books of all genres.
There are 868 total readers in our community.
The most popular recommendation, The Salt Line, had a 71% open rate, meaning 71% of all subscribers opened that email to read about the book.
Questions for Readers
Next up is question time! I would love to know what you’re looking for from these newsletters, whether it’s different types of articles or different kinds of book recommendations, or anything in between.
The poll only lets me have five choices, so I wasn’t able to add things like memoir, nonfiction, horror, or several other genres. If the genre you’d like more in isn’t listed above, leave a comment letting me know what genre you’d like more recommendations in!
Is there another kind of format you’d like to see in addition to recommendations?

Next, a poll about a poll! Books on Gif has done this before, and I loved the format! Readers selected from a choice of books which one they wanted to see reviewed, so I thought I’d see if that would be fun for you, too!

Giveaway!
I have a couple really exciting nonfiction reads to give away to you! One winner will receive an ARC of Somewhere Sisters, a story of identical twins who were adopted at birth to separate families and reunited against all odds as teenagers, and an ARC of Con/Artist, a book about one of the world’s most infamous art forgers (this one doesn’t come out until November 22, so you’ll be able to read it early!).
