Theme Music — T. Marie Vandelly. Dixie Wheeler, a twentysomething still coping with the tragedy of her past, sees that her childhood home is up for sale and pounces to buy it. The only issue? This childhood home is where her entire family was murdered by her father, who brutally killed his wife and children with a knife, then killing himself. Dixie, the youngest at only one years old, was the only one left alive.
Thanks for pointing out Theme Music, the title never would have made me thought of a family massacre! I'm hosting a "books about haunted houses" theme month on another site next month so I'm gathering up titles.
My last great read was Tales from the Gas Station by Jack Townsend, which turned out to be a very well-written yet crazy read that involved aliens, a murder cult, a bathroom ghost...
I think my favourite summer reads so far have to be - ‘Demon Copperhead’ by Barbara Kingsolver (for obvious reasons) and ‘A Little Luck’ by Claudia Piñeiro!
Digby is adorable! Best wishes with packing! After my last move and all the packing (esp of books), I vowed to not move for a longggg time if I can help it 😅

Thank you for the theme music recommendation! It looks so intriguing - and good luck with the moving, moving books is the worst x

I still have yet to read a Barbara Kingsolver, but I know I need to get to her soon!

With any luck, I'm planning on this being my last move for a good long while!!
Digby is the handsomest boy. And it is absolutely spoopy season now.
