The Messy Lives of Book People — Phaedra Patrick. Liv Green is a 42-year-old mom who’s tired of barely scraping by to pay her bills and take care of her two teenage sons. Her husband’s book printing job isn’t exactly lucrative, so Liv’s work as a housecleaner is the primary source of income.
My 12-year-old saw The Messy Lives of Book People at a bookstore recently and said “mom, that’s for you,” just based on the cover. I haven’t read it yet but I think she was absolutely correct lol
Love that! And truly, the book did an amazing job of showing Liv's struggle to find herself and remain a whole person while still being a mother, which I think is not shown very often in books, and I loved watching her struggle through it to find what she really wanted.
