I have a ton of sci-fi on my TBR for more recent titles, but until I’ve had the chance to read those, I’m recommending this one, which I absolutely fell in love with, that was originally published in 2016.
I had my book club read Bent Heavens last year and the morality theme / topic was such a huge part of the discussion. I did not expect that kind of heaviness from that book but boy did it get dark and boy did it get heavy!!
I wasn't expecting it either when I read it, and I was blown away by how the author did not shy away from it at all! It's a dark, dark book to read, but I always am recommending it to those who are looking for some big discussions like that!
I also think about it so often, and I have several other books by Hutchinson I’ve just never made time to read, but I definitely plan to at some point!

I loved We Are the Ants! I read it ages ago and still find myself thinking about it.

I’ve read a few others and enjoyed them, but honestly Ants is my favorite still.
